Holi is celebrated on the full moon day in the month of Phalugna or Falguna (Phalgun Purnima), which usually falls in the later part of February or March, which is welcoming of Spring and it's a celebration of the triumph of good over the evil Holika.

People in and around India also in some other parts of world celebrate Holi. Families and friends celebrate the Festival of Colors, joining in groups and giving away all inhibitions young or old all folks chase one another and playfully splash colorful powder, colored water with holi filled water guns(pichkari) and few even paint their bodies with colorful paints too.. see below photos to believe it!
